Composites

I know that Fraternal Composites is out there and they do a good job as far as I know. Questions:

1. Experience with Fraternal Composites? Good / bad / ?
2. Who else does them?
3. Pricing?

Composites

Vantine is the other major composite company. They seem to be generally equivalent in terms of pricing and service. They both insist on long term contracts - you should review that carefully.

Funny, but check the ad at the top of the page. We have had a local photog for years.

Our chapter had a very negative experience with Fraternal Composite Service. They were generally very poor at communicating requirements and delays and tried to slip one over on us when it comes to multi-year contracts.

Vantine produced our latest composite and while somewhat slow at delivering, provided the best "bang for your buck" I thought since we got unlimited officer titles, among other features. The photographer was really friendly and courteous as well, and the finished product turned out great.

If you can find a local photo shop that will provide competitive prices try to get some recommendations from other groups that have had composite photos taken before committing. We had a local alumnus do one for us many years ago at cost but he ran into increased business and our composite came back many months late and with a number of errors.

There are a bunch of threads throughout GC that could give you some good information regarding composite companies, and Fraternal Composites in particular.

My chapter got our photos for our composite with Fraternal Composite in April and we are still waiting.
