WTF is a Vega?
 

Ok let's see if I can start a thread that hasn't been discussed in some way here on GC. :p

So I was reading a job description and I came across this:

-Must have Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Theta, Vega, etc.)

so my first thought was "LOL there is no vega" but then i wondered if there was possibly another context where the word vega is greek that i somehow missed. :confused:

anyway i found nothing so im wondering if this is what it appears to be at face value- a hilarious mistake, or is there something else?

Personally i just think they took words that rhymed. lol.

In that content, it has something to do with option trading.

oh. and I thought it was a car

lol at least u had an idea. i just thought of vegetarian, but it made no sense in that context.

the "No Go" is in reference to the Chevy Nova.

My mom had a 1972 Vega. It was a very funny car.

It's a cute little 70's era car that they used to give away on the game show "Split Second"...anyone else remember that one?
