Campus with all 25 NPC chapters?
I know there's someone out there who knows this.... Is there a campus that currently has all 26 NPC sororities active?
ETA: Please forgive my typo in the thread title. I was a little quick to click "submit". :) |
No. The largest number is University of Illinois - I think they have 20 or 21?
lovespink88 can correct me on this. ETA: U of I has 20 NPCs currently. |
We discussed this in another thread. There are no campuses with all of them or have had all of them. If I remember correctly, only AST was missing from ever being on all campuses including Ohio State.

Unfortunately, the Greek System at Ohio State is struggling with recruitment retention rates and interest in general, and they only have 14 active NPCs: Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Epsilon Phi, Alpha Xi Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Phi, Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Zeta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Pi Beta Phi, and Chi Omega.
I believe Phi Mu was the most recent chapter to leave, but you'd have to check me on that. |
[AOIIBuckeye]Unfortunately, the Greek System at Ohio State is struggling with recruitment retention rates and interest in general,
Is this just recently that Ohio State is experiencing problems with recruitment retension, or has this been an ongoing problem within the last few years? I could remember when Ohio State's Greek System was very large with increasing recruitment rates....but that was about 24 yrs. ago when recruitment for all GLO's was red hot!!!! Your are correct, Tri Sigma was missing too.
As for Ohio State, it did not always experience problems. When I was there, we had 18 chapter, total was 105 and most houses were at total. The last two chapters to exit were ADPi and DPhiE. In the 90s, SDT and Phi Mu left. Sigma Kappa came and went. In the late 80s, AOPi came and Zeta left. The poster above is correct, they are currently at 14 houses with total of 100. There is talk of lowering total in order to even out the houses and to keep another chapter from folding. |

Sorry if this comes off bitchy, but there are enough misconceptions where this is concerned without perpetuating it further. |

Those are the only two Penn State campuses with AST chapters. |
Phi Mu at Penn State?
I know Phi Mu is active there now, but didn't they close their chapter at Penn State about 13-14 years ago? I only ask because Irishpipes' posting shows them as continuously active since the 1920s.
