Recruit Chair

Alright guys, Earlier this week a note was posted on our board saying that it was time to pick a new Recruit Chair, I have only been living here a few months and I believe that my frat has truely changed me for the better, so I beleive that the best way I can repay them as a freshmen is to go out for Recruitment chair because its something I believe I would be good at. Now the note says to submit a formal application and a one page paper stating why you would be best suited for this positon. This is where I need help is showing them why I would be good at this position... What should I put down for the application and what would be some things I should say about me that would make me a good Recruiter?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in a fraternity, isn't the recruitment chair serve as the liaison between potential members and the fraternity? I would assume he also plans the recruitment events as well, right?

Dude, no one here knows who you are. How are we going to help you figure out why you'd be the best fit for the position?

Yeah, I was wondering what the point of this post was. Are you wondering what qualifications you should list that would make you a good rush chair? Because if you don't know there is no way you are ready to be rush chair. It's a huge job and you don't sound anywhere near mature enough to handle it. There's just something about a man preparing to serve on his executive board that calls his home a frat that bugs me.

And if you're a freshman, doesn't that mean you've been a member for about 5 minutes? And you haven't even initiated yet? If I am right on this (and man oh man I'm hoping I missed a critical point here) then no, you are not ready to be rush chair.
