Quota question

Hi,

How is quota determined if the number of PNMs is not evenly divisible by the number of NPC chapters? For example, if you have 66 PMNs going through Pref night and 4 chapters, is 16 or 17 (or both) considered to be quota?

Thanks!

It depends! This is so complicated that there is no easy answer. If you're using Release Figures Management, then they would have a quota range and determine which way more PNMs get placed, which way the most chapters get quota, etc. They aim for success. If not using RFM but quota additions are allowed, then the logical thing is to make it 16 and allow the two left over PNMs to be quota additions, if they maximized their options. There are varying ways to set quota and the method that is going to be used should be defined in advance.

I am the recruitment supervisor for a chapter at a campus that does not use RFM. There are three sororities. I asked our NPC area advisor this exact question, and she said we should round up. So, in the scenario you set up, quota would be 17. Your Panhellenic needs to consult your NPC area advisor- she will advise what is best for your campus.
