Black Planet and Voicemail?
 

Is anyone using the feature?

How in the world did BP come up with implementing voicmail, but could not/ cannot correct its woes with chatrooms? I mean, I became a internet addict because of BPs member created Greek chatroom. :o

I remember back in the day when the Personal Pages went haywire, or the time my points timer stopped working for WEEKS, and the time my front page wouldn't refresh so I couldn't see any new names for online Planeteers for almost a month.

Anyone remember when BP used to have pic chat ...:eek: :eek:

**Back to the TOPIC** and who'se gonna pay to call an answering machine? Um, Yahoo IM Voice chat (FREE real communication)...

BP had so much potential when it was a small site that couldn't get anything right. Now, its a major player with millions of members, it needs to get its mind right... (And where's my dang mug?)

When I first saw that voicemail crap, I LMAO!! THere is no way in hades, I am going to pay for people to leave me a voice mail or check it or whatever the ass backwards concept is. IF you wanna talk to me INTELLIGENTLY send me a note.

Now BP first of all needs to go through and PURGE all inactive accounts and get rid of all my students who have BP pages. THen they need to get rid of all of the self proclaimed freaks, hoes, pimps, lickers, suckers, etc. PURGE anyone who still has the original page and they joined in 1999 or 2000 because if I can hook my page up they can too.

But I guess if we really look at it, BP is a REFLECTION of real life BLACKS -- the GOOD, the BAD, and the SHO NUFF UGLY!!

My guestbook hasn't been working for a long time now, i have sent in about 40 complaints and nothing happened. I am so mad:mad:

But I really haven't had a major problem yet. Except when the server is too full, then they start kicking off folks right and left! they have over 3 million people on BP and when is the last time you saw the server past 38,000?:rolleyes:

I agree, there are so many pages that are just straight STANK! and what's worse is, they got the most hits!

You know who got the MOST hits? the white girls on BP!:rolleyes:

lol, That was hilarious for some reason.

I used to be addicted to BP and using HTML, but I can't stand those pop up advertisements that take 20 minutes to load on my ancient computer! :D I've gone to the Microsoft site and researched security to try to find a way to stop them from spamming into me, but I can't find a way. I went there recently and it was a little better, but I remember before, I couldn't go from screen to screen without getting an ad for the "X" camera, a new Visa, email gambling, or whatever. So, instead of being frustrated, I stopped going there..... as much. ;)

I am definately not doing the VM. I hated the pager... I'd check my account after work (about 3:00 am) and some freak (the same one) would always send me the same retarded page going "Hi. What's your name?" This nut had everyone that he could find from Charlotte saved as a friend on a blank white page. I aint mad about the points, though... ;) :D :p

NO BP for me.....
 

Well I still have my original page up, and have not changed it, because it's not that important to me. I joined BP the first month it opened. It use to be a great site, it has went to the dogs, so I no longer visit. I think it's been almost a year. In the first year I received at least 3 T-shirts, a cd for getting a lot of hits. Does BV still exist, another site I havn't bn too in well over a year.

I rarely use BP. I get more than my share of notes, but am wary of meeting any potential companions (I'm too old to be calling a partner a "boyfriend") ;) on the Internet. I also notice a lot of the "lickers" and "suckers" and s**t. Some people just don't have any shame. :rolleyes:

i tried to update my page that i had hooked up sumthin proper and the dang thang went crazy! now, you can see my codes, the background i had or the pictures i embeded don't work, the music doesn't play...it's plain retarded!!

and i agree, bp needs to get rid of those freaks on there who obviously don't know how to read, because i they did, they would see that my profile says "HETEROSEXUAL !! i am not looking to convert!!

and another thing, i hate people who put a whole bunch of crap in my gb. this one monkey put a freakin movie clip from the matrix!! what the "L" was his problem??!! that dang clip slowed my computer down and all posts after his wouldn't even show up, so i had to delete that post.

and one mo' thang--i can't stand people who, when you go to their page, they have another one pop up so they can get a bunch of points, that have coded their page to save themselves automatically to your buddy list, or put those blasted pop-up messages in the gb!
