Lifetime movie - Georgia O'Keeffe

Lifetime's movie about Georgia O'Keeffe premieres September 19th. Of course they won't mention anything about her being a Kappa Delta but it should be interesting to learn about her life after college.

There's also a feature movie coming out next month about two KDs, and one of them is being played by Sandra Bullock. It's called The Blind Side, about a homeless high school student and football player taken in by the family of one of his classmates. I remember reading about his story in Reader's Digest a few years back without knowing the KD connection, and it was amazingly touching, so I'm looking forward to seeing this, probably with a bunch of tissues at the ready.

I just googled The Blind Side, watched the trailer and read up on Michael Oher. So moving and inspiring! So Sandra Bullock's character Leigh Anne Tuohy is a KD? Who is the second KD - maybe her daughter Collins?

Yes, I was thinking of Collins, who also was a KD at Ole Miss, although she would only be a high school student during the time frame of the movie, I guess. But it turns out there could be a third KD, because one also was a tutor to Michael: http://www.inkdandbeyond.org/suemitchell. This might be the character "Miss Sue" played by Kathy Bates.

I saw a preview for this movie a couple weeks ago. I was kinda ho hum about it then, but now I can't wait!

ETA. I just saw a commercial for it and told my sisters. It ends up being Sandra Bullock's character and another woman is one as well.

Oh I'm am SO seeing this movie! I love Sandra Bullock and Kathy Bates too. I couldn't even get through the preview without grabbing a tissue. *sniff sniff*

BTW, the above mentioned film about Georgia O'Keeffe got really horrible reviews so I didn't end up watching it. Hope no one else wasted their time.

Sue Mitchell was CAB recruitment adviser at Ole Miss for years. She is awesome! Collins Tuohy was a cheerleader at Ole Miss and also a KD.
