Form #82-2002
Out of all the recs I wrote this year to a variety of chapters, only one chapter - Beta Alpha - used form #82-2002 to tell me what happened to the woman I recommended. The form states:
Beta Alpha Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta wishes to thank you for recommending the following women - Name / Sorority Pledged / Did not pledge. (space is left to fill in the results) It then has a line for the Membership Vice-President to sign - in my case, the advisor lined through the "VP" and put advisor. Why don't more chapters do this? Are they unaware of the form? It is SO nice to know what happened to the pnm, and also nice to have a recommendation acknowledged. I'd really like to see more chapters do this - I realize that, for example, the U of Alabama chapter would need to get a committee to write them (!!), but it is such a good way of letting alumnae know the chapter values their work. |
I got a card one time instead of a form for a woman I wrote a rec for.
