What is the Strangest thing you have taken by accident?

As some of you know, I now travel on business about 80% of the time. My office is 310 miles away, according to my frequent flyer statement. Oftentimes, I get the 911 to fly across the country with only a few hour's notice so I spend a lot of time in airports and in hotels. Yes, DaemonSeid, I will actually get into downtown sometime!

Last week, I was called into the office along with my co-worker from California. My co-worker, who had just arrived via the red-eye, was unpacking her laptop and laughing hysterically. During her flight, the plastic airline information card that is always in the seatpocket on flights was mixed up in her "stuff". It was still there today.

Yesterday, when I was going into the office, I kept looking at the older gentleman in front of me on the people mover at the airport. He had on sort of a pair of painter's pants with the pockets along the sides of the knees. In one of the pockets was a folded-up airline blanket. I'm not sure he even realized that he still had the blanket in his pants (and who would want one).

Today was my turn. I'm always in kind of a hurry to check out of the hotel, so many things get thrown into my handbag (jumbo-size) quickly. I got into the office, pulled out my two Blackberrys and my charger then looked at what was at the bottom of the purse. I accidently threw the TV remote in my purse. Who needs towels?

Slightly different but my Mom travels a lot for business and went to check into her hotel room and there was a guy already there! They had somehow managed to give her the key to an occupied room.

Once, I got home from a restaurant and I had a sea salt grinder and a bottle of steak sauce in my purse and didn't rememeber how they'd gotten there. And, though I didn't "take" it, many times I've found my TV remote or some other random thing in the freezer. I just go to get something out and I put them down without even thinking about it. :o

Have you ever found a gallon of milk in the cupboard instead of the refrigerator? Did that once.

Not me but my parents.

In one of their trips to Puerto Rico with their two good friends, they were running late to take their flight back home. They quickly dropped off their rental car, without really waiting for the people to check them out. They were running so late, they didn't have time, and since the rental car people already had their credit card info, they figured it was no big deal. They leave the car parked, right in the main drive way of the rental car place, a somewhat inconvenient spot. They hurry to the airport, go through security and make it to the gate as the last people were boarding. They got to their seats, and when they got settled, my dad finds the rental car keys in his pocket. Whoops.

I have definitely put the milk back into the microwave instead of the fridge a few times. Whoopsie!

Other than that, I was dining at a restaurant while on vacation and was still sipping on my Dr. Pepper, when I realized that I had walked out the door with the glass still in my hand! I felt so stupid walking back in to place it back on the table.

Never done the milk thing, but I did throw a cake I had just made away once... paper towel in one hand, cake in the other and the wrong one went in the trash. DOH.

The only thing I could think of that I've accidentally ever taken was a pack of licorice that was under a pack of bottled water. It was raining way too hard to take them back. But I did see a Lambda Chi I knew bust his ass falling in the parking lot in the rain, at the grocery store at the same time. It was actually very, very funny. :)
