Mustang or Beamer
If you had to choose which one would you rather drive?
|
Mustang.

car
The American engineering definitely has the German car beat on torque. I'm not sure that I like the new rounded looking body frame on the new 2010 Mustangs though.
|
How's this for flip-flopping?
Classic Mustang (must be candy apple red!) or New Beamer (preferably white/tan leather interior).
|
I'm a Ford person. :) Mustangs are my favorite cars PERIODS.
I also prefer the classic Mustang in red or the Mustangs circa 1990s in red. |
Too vague of a question to actually answer.
What type of Mustang? V6? V6 Premium? GT? GT500? What type of BMW? 300 series? M5? X5? You get the idea... |
Beamer!
|
Buy whichever has the greater resale value. Sell. Buy an Acura.
|
Beamer. I'm not a car person so I'm not going to get all crazy. I just know I highly dislike the Mustangs I've riden in. Way too low.

and very importantly, what year? |
Both. But the Stang' has to be classic. Pre 67'

I had an 94 mustang convertible, when they first came out. It was metallic red and had a white leather interior. I loved that car, and would gladly take another one over a beamer any day!

BMW
I have a Mini which is made by BMW, so maybe I'm biased, plus my dad had a BMW. I used to love that car. |
BMW. But I would never call it a Beemer. ;)

BMW, without a doubt. But, I'm admittedly biased on the subject...
I've told this story before on the site, but my wife and I were hit by a drunk driver in April 2007 (he was drunk enough that he passed out at the wheel after the accident). He was driving a big station wagon, and we were in a 2006 BMW sedan. He came across the center line and hit us head on...it's estimated he was driving 70-75 mph when he hit us. Pretty scary stuff. When the insurance people saw our vehicle, and read the police report, they figured that we had died in the accident. We got many comments from people who saw the vehicle along the lines of "You're lucky to be alive." At the end of the day, we ended up with a few broken bones and other relatively minor injuries. The way the airbags and safety systems worked in that car...they saved our lives. The car essentially created a cushion around us, shielding us (as much as possible) from the impact. The car took a beating, but we're still around to tell the story. I'm sure there are other vehicles that would have done the same thing. However, my wife and I will always be loyal BMW customers because of what happened that day. |
