Looking for information about Florida Southern College Recruitment
 

Does anyone have information regarding recruitment that could be of assistance for a PNM that will attend Florida Southern next fall?

I am aware of the sororities there, but after that I am really lacking information on anything regarding Greek Life there or recruitment specifically. I would love to know how many girls go through the process, should you have recs, what is recruitment like, and how has quota been in the past etc. There is very little information to be found on this smaller school. I am trying to help this PNM if I can.

Info I have from 2008-2009 school year.

43 was total
quota was 22 last year


There are 5 NPCs:
Alpha Chi Omega
Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Omicron Pi
Kappa Delta
Zeta Tau Alpha

I work with an AXO alumna from FSC. My sister's husband use to work down there too at FSC and now my sister is a new adviser for AOII there.

ETA: I will find out if recs are a must down there...I'm not sure...

I appreciate anything you can find out and share with me. I would like this PNM to be well prepared and she is extremely excited already. She wants to start getting organized little by little and not wait until the last minute. Keep me posted when you can!

Something else to note is that FSC is open for NPC extension so next fall there will be a new chapter on campus.

this years recruitment is 9/27 thru 10/3, so i would guess that next years dates will be similar, which means that their recruitment is about a month or so after classes begin.

there are 5 npcs of campus and there may be an expansion in the future. as olemissglitter said, quota has been around 22 for the past several years.

i don't think that recs. are a must, but they would certainly be appreciated by the chapters and might give her that little edge.

My AXO FSC alumna friend said that recs aren't very big but they are always welcomed. She even said it might be an advantage to have recs. So I would suggest getting at least one for each NPC group. I would also like to venture on out and say that probably most of the chapters there are above chapter total of 43. My AXO friend said she thought the numbers were a little higher than that, but she did graduate in 2008 so it's not like she's "on campus" currently.

Also, I know when my sister's husband worked there he told me Greek Life is a big thing to do. While the college is small, it is an important part of student life there.
