Which university has the most chapters?
A sister and I are having a discussion about which universities have the most chapters of both the NPC and the NIC.
I can't think of any school that has all of them, but a search on GC and Google has failed to provide an answer. Sorry if there is already a topic on this, but we're extremely curious! Thank you! |
Seems this was discussed earlier this year....maybe Indiana or Illinois?

I was either leaning toward a school in an "I" state or a southern one.
I thought I remembered hearing it, but I really couldn't find anything through a search. |
I am quite certain that it's University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

You might want to check Penn State too. I'd doubt it'd be a Southern school, since the South tends to have larger chapters and fewer of them, while Northern schools have smaller chapters but more of them.

Thank you for the responses! From looking over the pages, it does indeed seem to be Illinois.
I appreciate the help, even though I'm also fairly certain it's been discussed before. |
There was some thread around here similar to this. I had some free time and looked into all the councils and what not. I think we (U of Illinois) have 95 GLO's total?

Of all the SEC schools who has the most chapters? My thought is Georgia, though I could be wrong. |
It is the University of Illinois.

 99 GLOs on one campus? This just boggles my mind. Wow... |

Thank you! I searched for something like this and just couldn't find it. But ninety-nine chapters? That is impressive! I agree that you all need one more for sure. :) We only have nine NPCs here, so having in the twenties really just boggles my mind! |

Hijack for a little trip down memory lane. Back in my young and ignorant days at Illinois, every NPC group was on campus. I simply assumed every campus was like that. I remember going on our Pledge Walk Out (I'm dating myself :)) and was shocked to discover that wasn't the case. I couldn't believe there were people who had never even heard of ABC or XYZ sorority.
