does it matter what time you visit a sorority during second rounds? do they like people who have earlier times rather than late times or vice versa? Sorry this is a dumb question!

Which party you show up for and it's time doenst matter so much whether they like you or not. All of the schedules for the PNM's are done randomly by Panhellenic.

However, remember that sorority women are human too. If they have a long day of recruitment parties, they too will be tired at the end of the day like the PNM's are and not every individual sorority woman will be able to hide her fatigue.

I do think when you visit a house can have an impact on being remembered or not, especially if there are a lot of sororities and a lot of PNMs. It can be a challenge to remember the women from the earlier parties and exhaustion can play a role in the later parties. Being remembered is different from being liked which was your original question.

That is why it is important to stand out and be memorable in appropriate ways. Having a recommendation with a nice photo so you are "known" ahead of time helps. Having something unique to share about yourself in conversation that will stick with the active with whom you talk. I'm sure other women here can offer other suggestions, but I do remember how challenging it can be as an active to remember every PNM you meet if you have a dozen or more parties and you meet multiple girls at each party.

I'm going to respond in case the OP was talking about an informal rush where you go to each group at your own pace. The sorority should not penalize you because you weren't the first one in the door. As a matter of fact, you may have a better conversation because everyone is hitting their stride and losing some of their nervousness as the night goes on. Don't, however, come running in 5 minutes before time is up just to say you were there. Pace yourself to visit all the groups.

I have often wondered the same thing, but on the other side. I have always wondered if you get more girls to sign your bid card after the last pref party as opposed to the first. What I have finally realized after 20 years is it doesn't matter in our case. We seem to have the most sign cards from the first party which is usually riddled with mistakes:).

I totally agree with your statement "being remembered is different than being liked" I can not tell you how many times I heard "we don't remember her" this past weekend. It is hard to remember hundreds and in some cases 1,000 of PNM's. You HAVE to stand out no matter what round or what party- period.
