STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi State University says police are investigating allegations of a possible sexual assault and alcohol violations at a campus fraternity house.

Bill Kibler, vice president for student affairs, says in a statement that police searched the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity house on Wednesday.

. . . The fraternity said Thursday in a statement that it's cooperating with law enforcement and that "local chapter operations have been suspended."
