APO & accusations of Obama's Hitler Youth?
 

Under the title of "Right wing parents say Obama speaking to public school students to recruit his Hitler youth" a very bizarre posting saying that Alpha Phi Omega is responsible for a very odd step routing praising Obama's Health Care (Among many other things)

(Note that the statement on Michelle is at least some extent correct, she was a rechartering advisor for the chapter at University of Chicago and for APO, advisorship is a type of brotherhood)

I'm not a fan of Obama, but comparing him (or any other U.S. president) to Hitler is irresponsible and outrageous.

Agreed on all counts. The only thing these nutjobs are doing is making it that much easier to characterize all conservatives as crazy people. It's the same thing that's going on with some of the healthcare opponents - there are reasonable dissenters out there, but their voices are being drowned out by the crazies.

I especially love the "We're not going to compare Obama to Hitler, but....let's compare Obama to Hitler" line.

That's not APO, that's Omega Psi Phi. We don't wear camo, gold boot or refer to ourselves as a "dog team". Such horribly shoddy fact-checking by that article's author to see black Greek people talking about Obama and automatically connect it to Alpha Phi Omega. If they can't get that one simple fact right, then what makes anyone think there is any other basis of reality in that article?
