Need Some Help!
i go to school in missouri and recruitment is next week. i kind of have outfits in mind for the first three days, my school doesnt say anything about sandals so i hope its okay to wear them for the first days.
but anyways i am torn between two outfits for pref. night... one is a teal high waisted skirt with a wide black belt and a white top with black heals. the other is an animal print cocktail dress thats black, white,&grey and hits at the knee. i really like both of these but i dont know if they are appropriate for the occasion. any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.:) |
As a general rule of thumb, I'd say go with the cocktail dress. I'm not familiar with Missouri's campus culture but like I said...generally pref = semi-formal, cocktail dress. Definitely wear heels to pref, not sandals!

If it is at the school I have in mind, the Greek atmosphere is generally pretty laid back. Many of the chapters even allow members to wear "nice" sandals during recruitment, a.k.a. leather or dressy, not flip-flops/shower shoes. That being said, it sounds like your outfits (including snadals) will be fine for the first three days and that either dress wold be appropriate for pref. Just be sure to dress for the sororities (not the guys) and wear what looks best on you and what you feel most comfortable in.

There are a few schools in MO that have recruitment next week, with some varying degrees of formality on each campus. I would talk to your recruitment counselor, (pi chi, rho chi, rho gamma, etc) and find out a bit of the campus trend for pref night before you make a decision. They are going to be your best resource without question.
Good luck to you!! |
