Uh-oh. I hope the SIU – Carbondale paper in Illinois can run a correction, and I hope the campus Panhellenic can clear up misconceptions, if any PNMs read and believed some of the material in a recent piece in the paper (specifically, the underlined language in the excerpt below):

Recruitment counselors don't, as far as I know, "rate" and "match" potential new members.

Yes, I see that as the first of many recruitment headaches!

But wouldn't it be really funny if it were true? Just sign up for recruitment and get matched by your Rho Gamma.

"Hey, you seem like a Kappa."

My rho gammas were the chapters I prefed. If I hadn't known better I would have wondered.

Can you imagine:

Recruitment is pretty laid back at SIUC. I doubt PNMs even caught it. They usually allow PNMs to sign up and join recuritment up till the parties before Pref.

That's great they have 150 PNMs going through...hopefully they are getting their marketing issues worked out. We had 150 going through when I was there with 5 chapters. Now there are only three. If quota is around 30, this should put all of the chapters above total which hasn't happened in years. If only the housing issues would be fixed.
