Crush Party
We're having a crush party but I'm not sure how to go about the theme or have the girls and guy meet up. Any ideas???
|
Isn't the idea of a crush party that it's not really a "date" per se? In which case...couldn't they just meet at the bar/club/venue? As for a theme, I like "Tonight You May Meet Your Future Ex Husband" but I like to embrace the tacky.
I just Googled Crush Party t-shirts and came across one that says, "It's not love, it's not lust. Settle down boys, it's only a crush!" Cute. |
Yeah obviously they would meet at the venue but just how they would know who they're with. Like having matching ties, or T-shirts. Just didn't know if anyone had any creative ideas.

We had a crush party one year and had the girls write down their top 3 choices for guys and give it to our social. The social contacted the guys (always the first choice first) and said so-and-so invited you to our crush party, do you want to go?
We all met at the bar, the guys were waiting for us when we got there. They wore button downs with white t shirts underneath, and all at once they unbuttoned their shirts and their date's name was written on them! |
My chapter had one every year, and we NEVER told the guys who invited them. It was way more fun to have them wonder. We all invited three guys, and always had a great turnout! Why do you even need to tell the guys who invited them? That makes it more like a date dash to me. Let it remain a mystery!
The way we invited them: we made a huge poster with "Gamma Phi's Got a Crush On..." and wrote all the guys' names on it. Then put it up in the central quad area. We always enjoyed watching all the guys on campus walk up to the poster to check and see if their name was on the list. It created some good buzz for us every year. |

I really, really like this idea- especially the poster. Keep 'em guessing! |
Thank for all the ideas! They all sound great. My school hates Greeks and we aren't allowed to do alot of stuff but we're trying to change that now, hence the Crush Party. Usually we just have a formal and social that follow all the rules but we're mixing it up a little this year.
