Preperation for Rush Week

Hello, I have been comming to this websites for a couple of weeks now and I must say that this is the most helpful website for sorority rush that ive ever visit. I am so excited and a little nervous. I just want to say that I am a sophmore and I go to school in the south but its not too competitive. Im just curious to see what sorority girls are looking for? I am a treasurer for one of the clubs at school and I did many community service and I am active in a few clubs.:)

I am "rushing" in the South and Greek life here is huge. I have also heard some horror stories about "Rush." I have never been in pageants, I wasn't a cheerleader, and I moved around most of my life due to my father being a government employee. I want to be in a sorority so bad. Should I be worried?

It is not necessary for you to be a pageant queen, cheerleader, or have a wealthy dad who is a public official to be in a sorority. Even in the south, you'll find that many girls don't have those things.

You don't need to put the words rush or rushing in quotation marks.

Even if it's not SEC-level competitive, there still may be major competition for the sorority YOU want. Don't be too complacent.
