Some GC Luck?

I'm not a huge poster, but have been lurking for awhile. I'm hoping some good luck to be sent my way. :)

Campus move-in is tomorrow as well is the start of recruitment. I didn't expect to be this nervous, the nerves didn't hit until now.
I promise not to dress as if the main attraction at a strip joint, I promise not to chat about other houses or how much I was drunk/laid over the summer, and I promise I'll try my best to NOT end up in the Weird rush stories thread.

There are four houses at my somewhat small school. Hopefully things will go well and I'll receive a bid. If I don't, well, that's how life goes and there are other things on campus besides Greek life.

Great attitude and good luck. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Good luck! I look forward to hearing about your recruitment experience. :)

Probably one of the few recruitment stories I'll actually read.

Thank you for the well-wishes. Arrived today and am moved in, but no matter if I join a sorority or not I'll be moving out again to some other hall as this one is generally reserved for upper classmen.

Today they had an open house where you go through with parents, it was pretty nice. I felt a little bad for the girl who had a drink spilled on her. Though in one of my groups a girl kept making snide comments about sororities in general, which was pretty nasty of her, the sister showing us around handled it very well.

I'd go post in recruitment stories, but I don't have the guts to do a live one. :D

I'd say just write it up like you were going to post it, but don't until recruitment is done.

That's a good idea, thanks!
Unfortunately we're supposed to get some major storms tomorrow, we have to walk back and forth across campus a few times, too. I'm glad they're allowing umbrellas.

I've asked and they don't provide bags to put our things in (student id, tissues, etc.) but they will watch them for us, so I think I'll just bring a giant ziplock - another idea of GC.

Have a GREAT recruitment! It'll be a total blast to meet everyone and see the houses.

Let us know how it goes! :)

I'm pretty excited, yet nervous. Just a few hours until the first round starts. I've also discovered how difficult it is to do makeup with a 1"x2" mirror as I'm too blind to see the large one because it's set back too far, but it's lookin' good.

We're supposed to get some wicked thunderstorms, but the sky is blue for which I'm incredibly grateful.

Just a quick question, if there's no answer I'll survive.
Would it be seen as creepy to remember the names of some sisters from a few months back when I was visiting campus? Or would you take it as a compliment?

I personally wouldn't think it to be too creepy so long as you keep it casual (non stalker-like) and avoid excessive name dropping. If you see one of the sisters you met a few months back and get the opportunity to talk, it could be a nice segway into a memorable conversation.

I mean more of as "Hi, ____." type of thing. Not "Yeah I met ____ and ____!" or "OMG I LOVE YOU _____! MARRY MEEEEEE!"

Sorry, jennyj87, I'm in the midwest, a lower part at that. ;)

New Englanders use "wicked" as an adverb, as in , "wicked bad thunderstorms" or "wicked sensitive crew".
