Questions about University of Tampa Recruitment

I will be rushing in 2 weeks at the University of Tampa. There are 4 panhellenic sororities on campus

Alpha Chi Omega
Delta Gamma
Delta Zeta
Sigma Delta Tau

So if anyone has any type of advice for UT i would be so thankful!

Their recruitment is much more relaxed than some other Florida schools (UF & FSU specifically). A lot of folks see this campus as a magnet for kids from up north. Having spent some time there myself, I would tend to agree. It is not very southern at all and many girls are from NY and MA, so in my opinion their recruitment tends to reflect those styles. There are also no houses there, so expect recruitment to take place in their student union (I believe). My advice would the standard - keep an open mind, be friendly, and have fun!

yes you are very right 1/3 of all UT students are from the tri-state area and Massachusetts. I myself am from ny. So this whole recommendation thing doesn't apply there right? Also I saw on another thread numbers for recruitment and for UT it said /28 does that mean that all for sororities can take on up to 28 new members or all together 28 new members can be added to greek life?

Thanks for all your responses I really appreciate it!!

That number is called quota. Generallyspeaking, it's the number of new members each chapter can take during recruitment.

It changes every year depending on the number of PNMs who participate. It's generally set after Preference.

Recommendations are always a good idea if you can get them.
