A Few Questions..

I was just wondering if anyone was familiar with spring rush at USA. How many sororities participate? I would really appreciate any advice.

For clarification-

You initially went through recruitment and dropped at a different school- am I correct? So, this will be your initial time going through at University of South Alabama?

I just wanted to verify.

Correct. Sorry for the confusion.

There's no way they will know you rushed at your old school unless you tell them. DO NOT bring it up.

usa has fall formal recruitment, so few, if any, chapters might be eligible to recruit in the spring.

that being said, even if only one chapter is participating in spring recruitment, you could sign up and participate, just to get your feet wet, if nothing else.

maybe someone more familiar with u. of southern alabama can share their thoughts?

Hi, RosieRed. In the past several of the sororities at South have held spring rush. Due to transfers and changes in majors a lot of students finish in 4.5 years so a few of the openings are due to graduating seniors. A couple of the chapter websites refer to COB/COR so there may even be opportunities in the fall once recruitment is over this week. Check with the Panhel office.

FSUZeta gave excellent advice.

Thank you. I know that recs are important in the fall. Are they necessary for the spring as well?

FSUZeta 09-02-2009 06:42 PM

it certainly wouldn't hurt your chances-if you can get them, get them.

I recommend having recs. If you begin now, you should have time to round them up.
