VPS - sisterhood event ideas?
 

Hey ladies,

I was elected VPS for the fall and was wondering if anyone here had ideas for events that worked in the past or that they really liked? I have a bunch of ideas, but am curious as to what other chapters have done :)

We had a Kappa fiesta! It was so much fun... we ate catered food from Moe's and even busted pinata's filled with candy and kappa goodies!

Some things we've done...
- Horseback riding
- Duckpin bowling
- Apple picking
- Pumpkin picking & carving
- Shopping trip to outlet mall
- Ropes course ($$$)
- Ice skating
- Laser tag
- Kappa Assassins
- Cookie baking, then delivering the cookies to fraternities and singing Kappa songs (good PR, too)
- Tie-dyeing (used old Kappa shirts, or whatever girls wanted to bring)
- Secret santa (and we all went shopping together to buy the gifts)
- Going to local charity walkathons can be really fun/sisterhood-y, and it's philanthropy
- Thanksgiving potluck right before Thanksgiving break (everybody brings something, but Standards usually sprung for the turkey... this may not be an issue in a housed chapter with a chef)

We've done some of these, but I just thought of others:

- Pumpkin carving
- Learn to knit (or whatever other craft/skill you could think of)
- Roller skating
- Decorating Christmas ornaments/frames
- Baking/decorating cookies (use icing and maybe those little beads and other decorative sprinkles)

Omg, Anne, I'm so jealous you guys played laser tag!!!
