Brother E. Lynn Harris
 

Has anyone received any information regarding Brother E. Lynn Harris. My admin just came in my office and passed on some news. I'm not sure if it is accurate.

yes, he passed away while on tour promoting his new book. Only thing being said is that is health was declining, but no mention of the illness.

On behalf of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, we honor and celebrate the life and rich legacy of Brother Everett Lynn Harris, who passed on July 24, 2009. He joined the fraternity as a charter member of the Kappa Kappa Chapter at the University of Arkansas in 1975 and graduated in 1977. Following a successful corporate career, Brother Harris pursued his passion for writing. His collection of literary works will long stand as a testament to his artistic and creative genius as well as being a New York Times best selling author.

We join in and extend our support to his family, friends, fraternity brothers and millions of readers and fans during this time of remembrance. An official proclamation will be sent to his family declaring his transition into Omega Chapter, the chapter for deceased members. May his soul rest in peace!

This really saddened me as I mat met him twice and dinner and good conversation with him. My sincere condolences to his mother and son, and to Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
