Candy Molds with greek letters needed for recruitment

Does anyone know where to get chocolate/candy molds in the round circular medallion shape with individual greek letters on them? We used to have 3 trays of the candy molds molds, each tray had one of our letters on them and sometime over the last 2 years they have been misplaced. I just thought I'd ask. I have been googling like crazy!

I need a replacement and can't find them anywhere! Help!!

would that work?

Unfortunately, that is not what I am looking for. The ones the chapter had were a full tray of round discs with just 1 specific greek letter on them..in our case, we had one tray each of molds with Gamma, Phi and Beta. Each tray made about a dozen chocolate letter discs and they looked lovely when done in our colors.

All I have been able to find is the entire greek alphabet on one tray. To do all the letters, about 100each, would take forever and I would have to buy a boatload of trays. Plus they are just the letter cutouts.

I just wish I knew where the candy molds we had ran off to...

Thanks for the suggestion, though!

If you can't find what you're looking for (and I did try searching online for a little bit), and you had to resort to using these molds, you could always use one color for all of the other letters of the alphabet, and use a different color for Gamma, Phi and Beta. And you could make a few extra batches of just those three letters to "even things out" with the other letters of the alphabet. Just a suggestion :)

Would someone at your HQ / EO know? Maybe it's a licenced item from way back when? You know know....maybe someone who's been there a while might recall where it originated from.

For what it's worth, it sounds like a product that Wilton (think cakes and candies) would make.

Oh...and maybe try Ebay?

and lastly, I would put out an email to all of the alumnae and/or collegians. Maybe someone stashed them at their Great-Aunt Mildred's house one day whilst making candy and forgot all about it? You never know...they might just resurface.

There's a business opportunity here . . .

I know they aren't chocolate molds, but how about cookie cutters?

Ya, but how many people would buy it?

It sounds like no one is making this product anymore, so maybe it's craft project time!

How about make your own molds:

Try either the Silicone Plastique or the Silicone Spread Food Grade, both are non-toxic and safe for use with food.

For your original mold, maybe a wooden disc (from the craft store) glued to a wooden letter (from the Greek store).

Yay projects!

Although... if you're looking into it... One good thing about what FloridiaTish described is that the medallions were individual Greek letters, which you would not need Greek Licensing for. You could create a line of individual letter molds for people... maybe with that silicone stuff.

I saw this, also. But how much does that stuff weigh? If you need more than a few pounds, it's going to get kind of pricey.

Even those cookie cutter molds are expensive. I think I figured it to be $60 for an Alpha, Sigma and Tau. And for a Gamma, Phi and Beta, it would be more than $70!

Yeah, this might get expensive fast. Another option would be to use plaster of paris and then just cover the final mold with plastic wrap. I also read about using a pan of fine sand (don't know if wet or dry), which would also require plastic wrap, but would be much cheaper.

This stuff is a little cheaper:

I still don't know how many molds a pound of it would make.

Do you have photos, or know where to get the molds for any other sororities?
