Ads on chapter website?
 

What is everyone's opinion on placing ads (local companies/sponsors) within a chapters website?

I am ordinarily against it.

However, one of the sites I work on was paid for entirely by the company of one of our alumni brothers. So we have her logo at the bottom of the front page.

I agree with Sen - if it's an alum's business, that's one thing, but just ads for Amazon or whoever, no.

It depends on how they are displayed. My chapter's website has a "Links" page that directs you to other chapters and other orgs on our council. If you set up something like that for people that sponsor you or for alumni business and things like that, then I think its ok. But having ads all willy-nilly like on those geocites...not really my cup of tea.
