OK, so today's the day alumnae and chapter awards come out -- I'm genuinely interested in who wins what... Crazy b/c I never was interested as a collegiate.

But I know Stephanie Hogan from the Bachelor was speaking at Convention -- is she a KD? I LOVED her on the show (not for Jason of course), but it'd be really cool if she is.

I just checked to see if there's a Stephanie Hogan in the member search section of the Exclusively KD part of the KD Web site, and there is one that sounds like it could be her. That's pretty exciting even though I'd never watch The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.

I've been looking at the Katydids online, too, and am curious to find out who wins the Council Award. At one of the conventions I've attended (only two--what used to make a person a hound?), my chapter did win an award in a category where there were only two winners, I think, one for large chapters and one for small. It was such a surprising and thrilling moment.

I just got back. I didn't stay for the White Rose Dinner. I do know the Council Winner but I'm not saying a word. I promised I do know Texas A&M got honorable mention for philanthropy.

Stephanie Hogan is a KD from Birmingham Southern and the girls loved her presentation.

Dang, I wish I knew that during the show. I would have liked her even more! :)

Also, I read this on one of the NO's facebooks: Susie Castillo, Miss USA 2003, former host of MTV's TRL, actor and author, and HOPEFULLY a new initiate of Kappa Delta!!! :)

I think she became an honorary member at Convention based of Twitter chatter, but it's hard to tell.

I believe, according to the rumor at convention, that she accepted an invitation from Melanie Shields to be alumnae initiated.

i'm from alabama, and of course i loved stephanie on the bachelor. she represented alabama well...but i had no idea she is a KD! that makes sense huh :)
