Have any Alpha Gam Song Lyrics??

Hey I was wondering if any one had any lyrics to songs that there chapters sing either during recruitment or greek week. I am looking more for songs where chapters have re-written the lyrics. Any song will be greatly appreciated. My chapter is starting to plan our Greek Sing performance and really need help. I know it may seem early but after coming in last place for the 4th year in a row. I thinks its time we planned ahead and got some outside help. Please PM me with any lyrics that you may have.

LIEP,
Missy

Folklore has a scanned PDF file of the AGD Songbook that was made in 1970s u could take a look at... though some of the songs are quite interesting to be made in the '70s...lol. Just print out the PDF file coz the text version typed on the site has bunches of typos.

There is an online songbook in the members section at www.alphagammadelta.org

For that matter, contact your recruitment consultant. She's in the know at LOTS of chapters, and would know which chapters have played around with popular songs to make them Alpha Gam specific for recruitment. We heard a lot of them at TLC this year, so I know a number of chapters do this.

I've never seen that before and I'm laughing my butt off.

OMG! This is a riot. I can't imagine this being an official publication.

The spelling errors are hysterical. However this was the era of the IBM Selectric so correcting mistakes took a lot more effort.

My favorite is "I Pledged my Heart" "all men are dumb" LOL

Lots of beer-drinking songs. I'm just trying to figure out the one about Truman's daughter.

That one is one that stood out to me, too. Wonder what the tune is? I think I've heard the "more beer" part, though, as a chant.

How do we know it's an "official" songbook?

we don't. I doubt very strongly that it is. Some songs, certainly, are official "Alpha Gam" songs, like Chums, or the Farewell Song, etc. But that's about it.

I didn't read all of them, but we did used to sing Bamboo Bungalow and Sweetheart... We added another verse to Bamboo Bungalow which isn't something I'd say online..lol.

I hesitate to say "Song Book" because it wasn't bound like some of the Song Books I saw up for auction on eBay. It was a yellow plastic binder with "Alpha Gam Songs" written on it. It contained sheet music and lyrics for many of the songs we know and included the official song from the 75th Anniversary Convention. I know it came with a cassette tape, and I'm sure I still have it around somewhere.

Perhaps the link came from an Alpha Gam chapter that included ALL the songs they sang?

I have seen this yellow plastic binder before, didn't know about the cassette tape though!

I remember the yellow binder songbook, too.

Last convention the republished songbook, complete with CD, was available for sale. If anyone is needing/wanting one, contact IHQ :)

I went to the 1979 Diamond Jubilee convention and got both the binder and the cassette, both of which I still have.
