In this thread, we brag about the cute stuff our kids do. Pictures optional.

Meredith has been playing this game lately where she pretends to be a baby animal (or anything else), and lets me know what she's pretending to be by coming up to me and saying, "Hey, Mama Kangaroo!" (for example). Then I always reply, "Hey, Baby Kangaroo" et al.

Tonight, she walked up to me and said, "Hey Mama Ballerina Princess!" :D She's so goofy.

ETA: Also, she can't go to sleep unless she has her stuffed Uga dog and her "little baby Hannah" doll. My little legacy!

I am potty training my 2 year old son. He gets a skittle every time he pees.

Earlier this week he called out from his potty "pee-pee in potty. Get Skittle." I went to go check on him only to discover that my water cup had been moved, and had considerably less water in it.

Nice try, but no skittle for you!

Yes, my 6 year old is singing Twisted Sister, but true son of an English teacher, he uses correct grammar.

Mikey (my 18-month old) shares pretty well...except for the binky. It's his, and no one else's. His cousin Lexi (Lexi's 6) was over and had fallen and skinned her knee. She was crying, so Mikey walked over and hugged her. Still crying. Mikey patted her on the leg...still sad. So, he took his binky out of his mouth and put it in her mouth, kissed her on the knee and toddled over to me.

I don't have kids, but this is hilarious.

She's absolutely beautiful! (Careful with the bubble baths--if you give them too frequently it can upset her downstairs!)

Mine at that age:

I'm lame for double posting.

Meredith was pretty much the cutest flower girl ever.

That reminds me of my daughter, who is very money motivated, even now at 15. When she was 4 she lost her first tooth and got money from the tooth fairy. She worked at 3 more teeth that week and succeeded in losing 4 teeth in one week since she found out she got money for them!

My kids do nothing "cute" now, they are teenagers, lol.

Well, feel free to brag about the awesome/noteworthy/bless-their-heart stuff that they do! :)

Okay, so my son will be 3 next month. Since August he has been asking if it is his birthday yet. Thinking that something concrete might help him undertand the temporal concept, I explained to him that it won't be his birthday until all the leaves fall off the trees.

For that entire day he would run to the window every two minutes and proclaim "Mommy the leaves are still on the trees." This has subsided to just a daily announcement now.

Upon catching him blowing on a tree yesterday I asked what he was doing. "Making the leaves fall off the tree so it will be my birthday."

Gotta give the kid points for trying.

double post--

this is not my child, but my boss is in that "omg my kids are so cute let me tell you what they did" stage.

she and her daughter, 3, went to the ATM and watched people in the line withdraw money. when her mommy finishes her transaction, she looks up the slot where money comes out and screams "i want money too!"

i wasnt there, but i thought it was a cute story.

When watching the Saints-Dolphins game, my almost four year old son asked, "We want the fleur de lis team to win, don't we Dad?"

Made this Louisiana born Kappa a really proud mom. :)
