NCAA accuses Memphis men's b-ball of major violations
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4210798
the name of the former player suspected of cheating on his SAT is blacked out, but it's clear that the redacted name is Derrick Rose. the privacy laws didn't help much when they didn't censor out information specific enough to single Rose out. (cheated on SAT, played one season 07-08, and competed in the 08 championship game.) some the material Memphis has to provide include Rose's academic history, cumulative and core grade-point average, and a copy of a report "pertaining to the player's SAT handwriting examination prepared by Forensic Document Examiner Lee Ann Harmless." the 38 wins and final four could be vacated if proven true. the .PDF of the NCAA letter and notice: http://a.espncdn.com/media/pdf/090527/memphis.pdf |
"I am shocked. Shocked!" that there might be academic cheating in the Memphis b-ball program

SURPRISE! CALIPARI'S A CHEATER!
Still. |
Empty the jails, just win baby.
I wish Nova had signed Rose. Temple should have hired Bobby Huggins. I don't care if his graduation rate was zero at Cincinatti. |

How is it that this guy is still allowed to coach in the NCAA and Kelvin Sampson is not?
All Sampson did was make a few phone calls. |
