Real Housewives of Washington, DC
So...what does everyone think about a series in this location????
Here's an article on it: http://www.popeater.com/television/a...on-dc%2F498413 |
People are talking to people in the area, but no group has been pitched to any network yet, so it's not like Bravo's casting here or anything. Handful of people I know being talked to though.
I'm assuming after Blonde Charity Mafia does well on the CW this summer (assuming that it totally will considering it's The Hills meets Gossip Girl, and the CW is the perfect medium for such a combo), that Housewives of DC will seem like a great place to go. I think given what DC has to offer in terms of charity and global decision making, it'd make for a different, yet great location. |
I hope they actually pick some old money DC neighborhoods.... McLean and Potomac just aren't the same. :(

gold coast, no?
|
Gold Coast, Georgetown, Spring Valley, University Park....I am SO READY for this show! lol
|
I would be all over this show! I miss my old stomping ground :(
|
They definitely should recruit cavedwellers to see if any would actually be willing to expose themselves like that.

The reality is, Washington is a very conservative town when it comes to this kind of stuff- if you are part of the PR/lobbying/political/philanthropic scene here, being on this show could have a negative effect on your/your husband's company's bottom line. Perception is very, very important. No one wants to be perceived even remotely negatively by the people "back home", or by the Washington press. Would explain why they will end up with the Housewives of Potomac, McLean, and maybe Great Falls. Although I think it would be great fun if Ali Wentworth (wife of George Stephanopoulis and Georgetown resident, were on this program. She has quite the sense of humor, something which can be sorely lacking in this town.

How you know if you're the 'Real' deal
She's a Soror--Alpha Chapter.
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/rel....html#comments How you know if you're the 'Real' deal How do you know if Bravo is real serious about making you a "Real" Housewife? If they follow you overseas. That's why D.C. real estate agent Stacie Turner is looking like a contender to star in the upcoming "Real Housewives of Washington." A source close to the production tells us Turner and her husband recently flew to Paris to see his musician brother perform -- with the show's camera crew on their trail. Turner, an African American mom of two, would add a dose of diversity: Though Bravo has not finalized the cast, the other local women whom producers have focused on recently are all white. She could also add a needed bit of political intrigue: Husband Jason Turner recently left his job with the city's Department of Parks and Recreation amid the upheaval surrounding interim director Ximena Hartsock. The family lives in a 16th Street Heights mansion that was a church before they renovated it (subject of a 2002 Post Sunday magazine story). |
I've been watching. :D Are you all?
I see you, Soror. :) |
