Recruitment Advice & Recommendations At MSU(Montana State)?

Hi Everyone,
I don't know if anyone on here has gone through recruitment at Montana State Univ. or is part of the greek system there...But I am transferring there in the fall and will be going through recruitment as in incoming sophomore transfer student.
I do not know how competitive the recruitment is at MSU so I was hoping someone could fill me in on that.
Also, are recommendations highly suggested/important or are they necessary?
Any information would be helpful and welcomed.
Thanks!:)

I think recs are nice to have anytime if you can get them. I don't think that Montana State is a school where you HAVE to have them. However, it's best to double-check that with someone you know who goes there.

Thanks for the tip.
I had a friend who just graduated and was in a sorority so I'll ask her.
But I guess even if they aren't needed it definitely can't hurt;)

Just another question, this might be a dumb question so i apologize for it in advance. lol.
Should I have the people writing recs for me send them to the msu greek life office p.o. box or do they go directly to the chapter?

Each alumna should know to whom she should send the rec - if she doesn't, her national website or magazine should have a list of recommendation chairmen (or whatever title her GLO uses for the alumna or chapter member in charge of recs).

ok thanks for the info on that.
I am currently working on my "social resume" to give to the peple writing my recs and I was wondering...should I include my high school transcript and my college transcript (from the college that I transfered from) or is that not necessary to include.

(sorry again for all the somewhat dumb questions...)

I would include your GPA or transcript (both college and HS) in just one or two lines, but focus more on your social and extracurricular activities.

If you live in Western Montana or the Helena area PM me and perhaps I can go into my vast network of mountain folk and we will find someone you already know to write a rec on your behalf. If you're from one of the more rural areas I understand why it may be difficult. I am scheduled to be in Big Sky Country often this summer for vacation and relaxation.

My knowledge of MSU, recs aren't a defining factor, but it doesn't hurt to have them.
