"Why can't he stop being a bitch and be a man"
Good Day Brothers,
I'm receiving e-mails again regarding personal attacks on others. Clearly, I can't control what "Brothers" key. However, I again encourage "Brothers" to act brotherly and to show respect to others. When WOMEN on GC, including Alpha Kappa Alpha, contact me to ask that I have conversation with a member of Alpha Phi Alpha about his comments I'm embarrassed for the "Brother" and the fraternity. I suggest that we don't have to agree with everything posted but nor do we have to be mean spirited in our replies. To that end, hold high the light of Alpha so that others may see and respect who we are. Be clear about a few things. 1) The rules and regulations of Alpha Phi Alpha supercede any rules and regulations of greekchat when speaking to another brother. 2) Conduct yourself in an Alpha Like manner when addressing issues of Alpha Phi Alpha - Remember your days in the Sphinx club, your manner of speech should be far above those of your peers (In and out of College). 3) Everyone is entitled to an opinion as long as it is expressed in a manner that is befitting the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. 4) Please always remember that Alpha is not a utopia.....therefore no one will ever be 100% happy. Be fraternal to one another in all things! 5) We as Alphas are here to uplift each other in all things and uplift our communities please be aware of this when you speak to one another. How can we uplift if we tear each other down. 6) Keep the ideals of Manly Deeds, Scholarship and Love for all Mankind first and foremost. Manly Deeds = Anything that brings another up Scholarship = Education in a variety of things and building of communities Love for all Mankind = Understanding First of All You are a Servant of All as not only Alpha Defined but God Defined for the World - Servant Leadership. 7) When all else fails remember: To be an Alphaman means more than just to wear a pin; It requires intrinsic qualities that are developed deep within. It calls for lasting Brotherhood, a word sometimes used in vain; It means an honest devotion, not anticipation of personal gain. Fraternity speaks of Brotherly Love, that's something to achieve; It's more than just a grip of hands, It's an ideal to conceive. You're proud to be an Alpha, and share Her praises won, But before you inflate yourself with pride, ask yourself, honestly, "How much have I done?" To realize the wealth of personal satisfaction from knowing you've given your all, To have helped Her cause unfalteringly, when you rally to Her call; To combine all these qualities, and root them deep within, The product would be an Alphaman, deserving of his pin. So take an honest inventory of your character within, And for every virtue you find missing, try and weave it in. For a man without these virtues isn't worth a grain of sand. It's plain to see, it's more than just a pin, that makes an Alphaman. Bro. Fred H Woodruff |
You were neither hired by nor appointed by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., to moderate this forum.
The people who are sending you emails need to get a life. And honestly, so do you. You go through this every few months or so, and it's actually really really sad. Whatever it is that you and your fans are lacking in your lives, I hope it gets rectified quickly. The Sorors have The Vine, we have our own listserves PLUS The Alpha Nation. Professor, you all embraced a perp before you embraced me....you are so laughable to the point where it's not even funny anymore. Like I said, the patients are running the asylum and you are AMONG THE WORST. |
Furthermore, any idiot can recite (or type out) a poem but it's meaningless if he doesn't internalize it. You, sir, NEVER have. You have ALWAYS listened to whatever chickenhead AKAs, SGRhos, Zetas, or Deltas have your ear WHICH IS VERY IRONIC IF YOU ASK ME.
YOU FAIL, PROFESSOR. AT LIFE. Which is clearly why GreekChat means this much to you. You are as unimpressive in real life as you are a moderator. Mind your business when it comes to who you THINK I have issues with on this site. It has nothing to do with you. You don't run ME or anything I do, or anything on this board, REALLY. You serve at John's pleasure, and he certainly isn't checking for you like that. |
Hello.
I laughed. Goodbye. |
I clearly am going to have to drop out of school because every time I leave here and go to it, I miss something on GC.
Also note the use of profanity while subsequently telling folks how they should treat each other. |

APhiA is not my lane, obviously, but then again, calling out hypocrisy is everyone's lane! |
I am curious as to why the WOMEN just didn't go directly to the person who offended them. The same with the OP. There are multiple ways to do it.
Both the tattling, and the thinly disguised bust out seem rather passive aggressive, imo. Another thought. Many times in situations when someone says people have been saying... they really mean one person said... and I agree. Shid pull in the claws, you might e-hurt somebody - LOL. Seriously though, why is Brother in quotes on a public message board? I wish I would publicly defend an Omega over a soror. My GC sorors would come to Minnesota and hang me out to dry. |

I understand freedom of speech and all, but whats up with the title of this thread? If someone contacted you and you felt the need to pull a Brother to the side, why not a private message? |

This whole thread makes me throw on the WTF face. Unnecessary! Passive aggressive. Immature. Dramatic. What a night. |
YOU PEOPLE should be proud. This thread made it to PP. LOL
In before the lock/delete. |

Yet you use the word brother in quotation marks. That's so fraternal of you. |
yep this thread made it to pledgepark.. will be interesting to see what is said over there

I could go on about the latent homophobia that's inherent in the thread title, as well as the intentions of said trifling chickenheads, but it's too early. |
I did not direct this matter to you. However, if it applies . . .
