Percy Jackson and the Olympians

I searched and didn't see a thread on this, though there was a post or two in a Harry Potter thread.

Has anyone been reading these books by Rick Riordan? They're great, and right up the alley of "Greeks." They've sparked a real interest in mythology in my son.

We've just gotten home from a book signing for the final book in the series, The Last Olympian. Now my son has two books in the series signed by the author. (The other one is The Battle of the Labyrinth.)

If you haven't read or heard of them, the jist is this: 12-year-old Percy Jackson learns that his father isn't really dead; he's Poseidon. The Greek gods and goddesses are alive and kicking, and they're still having children with mortals (demigods, or half-bloods), as Percy learns at Camp Half Blood on Long Island. Quests, oracles and reworking of old myths abound.
