Rush Events Any Ideas?

My chapter has been revolving around the same 5 or 6 recruitment events for the past few semesters. Here are a few things we have done

1. Hookah Night with Sorority
2. Service Event & Steak Dinner (Service and Steak)
3. Nickel Arcade
4. Water-Balloon Fight with Sorority/Pool Day
5. Whirly-Ball (Bumper-Car Game Usually only found in the south)
5. Dodgeball
6. Campus-Wide Capture the Flag
7. Hot-Wing Night

Really though, I would like to expand and try some new things. Do you guys know of any good ideas?

Are these events working? And how long is your rush/recruitment?

ETA: What kind of fraternity is this (local, NIC/IFC, NALFO, etc)?

Kick ball and tacos! One of the fraternities here did that. I never heard how it went, but it made me wish I had a Y chromosome.

We are an NIC/IFC Fraternity (Chi Phi)

A lot of these events have been working really well

Particularly Whirly-Ball, Hookah, and Capture the Flag

However those events worked really well with sororities, and the rules are changing to no longer include sorority girl involvement. I'm worried that is going to change things

PS. Thanks for the kick-ball and tacos idea. Not sure if we'll do that, but I like how random it is. I think it will definitely catch a demographic of guys with a quirky sense-of-humor

^^^.......i think i'm a little bit scared.

were not allowed to recruit with girls on my campus. one time we got reprimanded for having a paddle out with a picture of a girl in a swimsuit on it. but one of our really fun events--sans girls-- is we play broomball. its a staple event of rush every semester

Yeah, we used to not have the restriction, but then we got a Greek Advisor who informed us on a lot of NIC guidelines we were not following.

Thanks for the tip. Keep them coming, I'd like to hear more
