QUESTIONS! i go to an online school
Hey
I go to an online college and am really intrested in being in an active sorority. Im at an online college to finish quicker and head to seminary i am in San Antonio. Texas and would really like to rush a sorority. does anyone know any options i have? i have checked out the adult ones some but would like something a little more my age range and want to go through rush and pledging. |
You won't be eligible to join an NPC sorority.
|
Nope.
I would look into the options of Beta Sigma Phi or Epsilon Sigma Alpha. Both have groups with members in their 20's and may be more accomodating to your schedule and goals. NPC sororities do not have chapters at online schools. You must be a student (usually full time, undergraduate) at the college/university where chapters are present in order to be eligible for rush. |
How about Gamma Chi, y'all?
|
well it is a normal college i am just attending online courses. Dallas Christian College, of course they dont have Soroities because they are faith based, and dont have social groups either like some social colleges.
|
do you know the Gamma Chi website?

Well you still have to be a student at the college/university that has NPC chapters on campus in order to be recruited into one while in college. You should be able to google Gamma Chi for a website. |
Well, for an NPC group you have to be enrolled at a school where they have a chapter. So, for instance, you can't attend Dallas Christian College and pledge an NPC group at SMU or TCU. Since DCC has no NPC groups, you cannot join one. And FYI, not all faith based schools ban Greeks - see SMU, TCU, Birmingham Southern, Samford, etc - so please don't say they don't have them because they are faith based.

i was not saying they banned them but most baptist or church of christ schools have greek lettered clubs called social clubs- no npc connection. DCC doesnt have any of these options and I am attending from San Antonio. Most of the schools you mentioned have faith bases but are not as faith driven now.

Your question has been answered. In order to join a NPC sorority, you need to attend a school that HAS chapters there. If you school does not have chapters, then you cannot join one. It's as simple as that.
For your "options", ThetaPrincess has already answered that. Other than Beta Sigma Phi, or Epsilon Sigma Alpha, you do not have greek-lettered choices. And "Gamma Chi" is not really a Greek Letter Organization, just so you know. |

Um, Baylor, anyone? |

You obviously are not familiar with Samford! I was just trying to correct your initial comment about faith based schools. Some do allow GLOs and some don't. Perhaps you'd be better served to find a better term than just "faith based." |
