Auto decals & license plate holders...
 

I've got a question for all you Fabulous Phis:

Collegians: What Alpha Phi decals, stickers, crests, A-Phi license plate holders etc., do you have on your car? Where are they (e.g. window, bumper)? Do most of the ladies in your chapter put A-Phi decals, etc. on their cars?

Alums: Do you put decals, A-Phi license plate holders on your car? If so, what kind of decals, etc. do you have and where did you put them (e.g. window, bumper)? If you don't, why not?

Me? I've recently moved to Georgia and have noticed that here, sorority alums use the decals (though usually not the crest) and license plate holders on their cars. I see them ALL THE TIME. There seems to be tremendous pride in their Greek affiliations out here in the deep south.

In the parts of Texas and Wisconsin where I have lived in the past, sorority alums rarely had decals or LP holders on their cars, though the collegians almost always did.

Interesting example...

There was this huge group of Alpha Omicron Pi alums having a meeting at a local restaurant. We left at approximately the same time and the alums were gathered talking in the parking lot. I noticed that they all had decals and license plate holders on their cars--even the much, much older ladies. I was IMPRESSED!

I am curious about what you do and what you've seen out there on the open roads of the US and Canada.

I'm an alum and don't have decals or LP holder on my car. Most of the Alpha Phi alums I know don't have this type of stuff on their cars anymore. I guess I always thought it was kind of a thing collegians do.

I think it is neat that those AOII alums all had decals, etc. When I was in Louisiana one time, I saw a decal that said "XYZ Alumna." (Can't remember the group off hand.)

Do ya'll know if Alpha Phi International has anything like that? It might be something fun to send to alums (or make available for purchase).

A couple of years ago the fraternity had some "Alpha Phi Alumna" stickers made that are magnetic (you can pull them off your window and stick them on another car). They were sent out with the billing mailing and I have one on my car as do many of my friends. I don't know if the office has any more of them but you can email Alison Tibbits and she might be able to point you in the right direction.
