Drinks at Starbucks

Okay well i can actually count the times ive been to starbucks on one hand because i dont like coffee at all, but last friday i went there because i just had a craving for a drink from there. Anyway i get in there and im looking to see what drinks they have there that dont have coffee in it and the lady is looking at me kind of like irritated that im taking so long- which was pointless because i was the only one in line.

I ended up buying a Tazoberry with cream. It was okay, but i wouldnt get it again because i dont like rasberry flavored anything. When i was paying, i saw a drink called caramel apple cider which sounded yummy- so i'll have to get that next time.

The frapuccinos are okay- i can drink those from time to time, but my question to all of you is...... What kind of drinks do you recommend that dont have coffee in it- i know there arent much considering its a coffee shop- but there must be more than two, i hope so anyway!

next time you go in..ask for a milk steamer...I don't think they have them on the menu..but I know up here they will still make them for you. All it is is steamed milk with flavoring in it..your choice of course..I always get vanilla or almond..then they put whipped cream on top...really good....

My picks...

In summer: mocha frappacino (like a coffee slurpee)

In winter: Cafe Mocha or the Chai Tea Latte.

YUM!

I'm partial to a decaf skim Caramel Macchiato.

White Chocolate Mocha or Mocha Valencia, w/orange.
Tall, no bigger.
Always have to have the whipped cream on it, and put some vanilla powder or nutmeg on top.

God Bless Starbuck's!!!
I LOVE Mocha Frappucinos - they rock my world!!!
They are even better when you sprinkle the Sugar in the Raw stuff on top of them. Its like unrefined sugar (I think) and its makes the frappucinos twice as delicious.:)

white chocolate mocha and the steamed milk sound good. I think i might go in there and ask for the milk steamer, hopefully they wont look at me like an idiot. What kind of flavors can they add to it? Has anyone tried the caramel apple cider?

thanks for all the responses! :)

Geez turtlegirl, Iget very alert after drinking a moch frap. But you must be hyper as heck with all that sugar added to the caffine.

Here's the thing that gets me about Starbucks

They freaking copyrighted Venti--it's a frickin' italian word--it means twenty. How can they get away with that?!! Plus I worked at another place that served espresso (as well as sandwhichs, soups salads and bakery stuff) but we had to change our signage since we would have to pay a royalty to starbucks if we used venti. Is that not some absolutely crazy stuff?

The1calledTKE 10-01-2001 02:19 PM

I think your company could challenge starbuck's copyright if your company could afford the lawyers. There are Italians in the USA and if they write down venti on anything they sale starbuck could sue? No way the copyright would stand up in court.
