Sororities never holding house parties
 

Can you think of a reason that our school's sororities never hold house parties? And we have a big greek system too.

Alcohol is prohibited in all NPC sorority housing.

What about non NPC?

They don't wan't their house trashed or have threats of lawsuit waiting for them.

That is a main reason and another would be that if this party were used for recruitment purposes that would also be against NPC rules.

If you mean a local that's a member of Panhel at the school, they might have agreed to abide by some panhellenic rules (like no drinking in the house) to make things fairer for everyone and/or just to keep the other sororities from getting totally pissed off at them.


Even if they aren't NPC, they might have something in their local or national bylaws prohibiting alcohol in housing.

University of Arkansas?

Some Universities sorority houses have parties.

Sanctioned parties with alcohol at the chapter facility that are registered with Panhellenic and their respective Headquarters? Uh, no.

Underground/informal parties at the house? I'm sure it happens all the time.
