Is greek like worth the money?

I read an interesting article that may help you guys decide if Greek Life is worth the money. Spending thousands per semester seems pretty costly and it's very important that you know what you're getting yourself into.

Is a Fraternity or Sorority Worth the Money?

Is Greek like what?

It is worth the money.

My chapter boasts one of the best dollars:friends ratios on campus.

As the saying goes, if I paid for my friends, I didn't pay nearly enough.

Haha I tried to say this to one of my sisters, but I said it wrong and looked like an ass. I said I paid too much. :p

The question is Greek life worth the money is an excellent question. For the amount of money that I put into an organization, what is the benefit that I will received. This is one question that we should never be angry when somebody asked. Instead, it's something that we should think about. Especially with the recession we're in.

If a parent ask you, what will my son or daughter receive from the dues that will be paid. What will your answear be? Or if an individual asked, what do I get out of the hundreds, sometime, thousands of dollar I will give to you, what do I get back in return, how will you answear?

Of course it is! Especially at my school. Great deal.

And even though we're the most expensive on campus, I just found out that we're the cheapest SigEp chapter (by like $5). Crazy.

I am not a member of a sorority (hopefully soon), but my outlook on the issue is: If you are passionate about being apart of that specific sorority or fraternity in question, although we are in a recession and times are hard for us all I am sure, money should be the least of your worries. It is definitely on the top ten of one's pros and cons list, but I believe in this situation the end results is as beneficial as the process along the way. Therefore, money is the least of my worries and I believe every dollar that I would put into the sorority, I am getting a learning and everlasting experience out of every dollar spent.

Hope this helps some :)
