The Passing of Jump the Shark
 

Howdy- as a GC poster for a long time now, I wanted to let all of you know

#1- TV Guide has bought and destroyed www.jumptheshark.com- it's now a tabloid blog

#2- my friends and I made a new site www.bonethefish.com to replace in spirit and deed the former greatness that was JTS- come over and check it out if you like to vote on when your favorite shows passed the point of no return!

Mystic Cat- you could say that, but since we liked the term JTS- we decided that JTS actually boned the fish- ergo, our new website name taking a dig at the TV Guide destruction of the formerly great website.

It's pretty ironic isnt it?

Sorry, I see where you went but I can't say the name does much at all for me. It focuses on why you're mad at TV Guide, not what the site is actually about. Besides, it sounds too much like Bonefish Grill. (And "Never Boned"? Seriously?)

Hey you cant make everyone like everything!

And hey who isnt mad at large corporations destroying things people like anyway!

so weird that this comes up now - I went to JTS the other week and was like "whaaaat??"

It caught us all off guard, since it was such a classic and beloved web community.

Anyway, take a look at our site, and give us some feedback, any ideas are appreciated! Hope you like it!

Too bad.... that was a great website.

I think our new website is just as good with some excellent new stuff that JTS never had, but probably was going to do at some point. We added in movies, music and celebrities to open it up even more.

Truth be told we've gotten an excellent response from it, check it out and give us some feedback on what you think, and if there is anything that can be done better.

One month into this, we just got our 100th registered user, the site is taking off
