I believe we've already had the conversation here.

Okay...but, you don't have to be rude about it. It's kind of like when you give advice about NPC recruitment and you are not in an NPC. People have called you out on it before. Or-it's kind of like when you tried to correct a campus newspaper in another thread about a Jewish interest sorority-when it was you that had to be corrected. I recognize that he should have checked using the search function to see if we have talked about it but, keep in mind he probably just saw it and randomly posted without really thinking to check the search. Many of us have done it (to include myself) at one time or another. You could just simply answer the question and then say that it has been brought up before. To feel the need to answer with, "I believe we've already had the conversation here." seems a bit rude.

How is this rude?

Question: Has anyone heard about this show yet?

Answer: I believe we've already had the conversation here.

It's called perception. You might not have percieved her answer to be rude, while I and als463 feel the answer was rude.

It's rude because she said, "I believe..." She simply could have said, "Yes" or "No"...If she has already heard about the show, she could have said that she has heard and it was discussed in another thread (generally other GCers like to post the thread in which the topic was discussed). The point is-she could have just left this thread alone instead of writing that...it was her way of being rude.

If y'all say so. See the bottom section of this page entitled "Similar Threads." You can also search using the Search feature at the top of the page or you can even go to Google, put in the search term, leave a space and type site:greekchat.com behind it.

There's no need to start a brand new thread asking if we've discussed something when you can search for it yourself...general "yourself."

ETA: Where's the rainbow unicorn when I need it. :p

What, you didn't like the 23948210923123153405346894765290 threads about the show GREEK? ;)

Wow. Look what I missed.

I wasn't trying to be rude--I actually thought just putting Yes or No would have been rude. I meant it more as a..."if someone else wants to chime in and correct me or post the link to the other thread, go for it."

And, about AEPhi, I actually checked their national website before posting about that article. I found nothing where they called themselves a jewish-interest sorority. Maybe I didn't look hard enough.

I didn't know that internet forums had to mistake proof. And, many other people have been much ruder than my post could have been perceived.

When she said "I believe.." I think it was more of an "I think this has been discussed before, but I could be wrong." as in, "Instead of starting a new thread about the same topic, you can continue conversation in the one that's already been started.. before someone else tells you the exact same thing I just did."

I'm confused as to how this was rude. But anyway, post on!

How did AEPhi get into this???

AEPhi is historically Jewish - our seven founders were all Jewish.

This is my first time hearing about this show. I have watched the first two episodes on myspace. So far I dont like it.
