Gamma Sigma Sigma Membership Question
Hi GSS girls!
I was just perusing your national website because yours is an org that has always interested me. Anyway, I have a question. I was looking at the membership section and it says that Gamma Sig is a non-selective sorority. Does that mean that the actives don't vote on who to accept as a pledge? That just seems weird to me. I know you all have somewhat of a rigorous pledge process like we do in Phi Sig. Sometimes, but not every semester, my phi sig chapter will let every interest in because we know that the pledge process will weed out those that aren't dedicated. But, we also vote on them a number of times through out the six weeks. Clarification? |

Since I've been elected National Membership Director, I've actually gotten several emails from those interested in chartering a chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho. People gotta pay more attention!

I can see how it could happen since "Gamma" and "Sigma" are in our names, but come on now. |

Donlou, FYI, you just posted in a 7 year old thread. Don't expect an answer soon.
You might check with your local Gamma Sigma Sigma chapter. |
Going by Gamma only?
In regards to the question above has anyone heard of *any* Gamma Sigma sigma group going only by "Gamma" before?
The only time I can think of hearing "Gamma" refering to a GLO was in the movie School Daze? For Gamma Sigma Sigma, I've seen both GSS and "Gamma Sig" used decently often. |
