Delta Delta Delta

What are you looking for in a pledge???

FSUZeta 03-15-2009 02:14 PM

why?

are you a member of a sorority or does your name imply that you are hopeful you will become a tri delta?

I'm pretty sure they like pledges who don't have their letters in their GC username.

Judging from your 3 posts so far, you're not a member. Therefore, it's not cool to have three Ds in your username.

But what if it's her cup size?

If that's the case, maybe she's missing her calling somewhere else.

Double posted so you get the point:

First of all, you need to make new username. It is extremely rude and very presumptuous use a sorority name/letters/anything referring to particular sorority in your username if you are NOT a Tri Delta.

Consider what would happen if a Tri Delt from your school were to see this.

Also, you need to stop making all of these posts and READ the info on the boards. What you're looking for is there.

Finally, Tri Delt's membership selection info is PRIVATE so they're not going to be able to outright tell you what they're "looking for" in a member, and should you ask someone in real life, you'll probably get a blank stare.

We also do not discuss reputations on GC. You can ask about them in real life, but that's a "no-no" and it's not going to get you any closer to being a Tri Delt (or anything else for that matter).

Finally, you will fail miserably at recruitment if you go through ONLY wanting to be a Tri Delt. For all you know, they could hate you and decide not to invite you back. To be honest, it's a process that's meant for you to considere ALL sororities and you should NOT do formal rush if you are not willing to do that.

I hope you take my advice.

Thank you KSUviolet! I couldn't have said it better myself. You actually said it much nicer than I would have.

Really?

I would LOVE to know where you go to school....to be so presumptuous that you will become a member of a specific GLO makes me want to hear about your Recruitment experience (once you go through). Since everyone already knows what you want to be-maybe if you're more specific as to what school you attend-you might get answers

Sigh...thanks to all who have chimed in here. KSUViolet, you hit the nail on the head and hopefully this poster will take heed to all of your advice.

*bites tongue*

Well, I see that you have a positive impression of Tri Delta. That's nice. There are lots of wonderful sororities. When you go through recruitment you will get a chance to meet women from many different chapters, and to form your own impressions of each chapter. You may or may not like the women of your campus's Tri Delta chapter...and vice/versa.

Read all the stickied threads at the top of the Sorority Recruitment forum. Actually, read every last post under the Recruitment thread. Then by all means, get back to us if you have any questions.

Sigh.

Everybody wants to be Violet.
