Why AKA?
 

I saw this post in the DST forum and after reading it I decided I would like to know the same from the prospective members posting here. I performed a search, so I don't believe this exact question has been posted previously in our forum, but if so I apologize.

Here goes, to all Sister Friends interested in our beloved sorority. What is it about Alpha Kappa Alpha that sets it apart for you? We, my Sorors and I, know what our esteemed organization means to us, but what is it about Alpha Kappa Alpha that has touched you?If you are truly planning to seek membership this question should be relatively easy to answer. If not, perhaps more soul-searching is necessary.

With all due respect, I do think we have touched upon this topic before.
