Just you wait, Arya - his PER will be like 19 for the Celts, he'll be Ray Allen's equivalent in points per 48 (although he'll only get 15 min/G) and KG will get his ass playing defense. You'll puke. It will be awesome.

Typical NY fans always running their players out of town. Marbury, Pennington, Farve, and eventually A-Rod.

The article says nothing about the fans running him out of town. He disagreed with decisions made by Thomas and then with Walsh and D'Antoni and the refused to play in a game and has been sitting in street clothes at games ever since.

When athletes who are paid millions of dollars do not perform (or refuse to play as was the case with Marbury) fans will react. That's not an NY thing, that's a general sports fan thing!! He wanted off the team, plain and simple.

This doesn't change the fact that your fans are the worst in the world.

That includes the Spanish footballers who chant the n-bomb at dudes - Knicks fans can seriously die in a fire.

New York fans are also worst then Italian soccer fan who throw banana at African soccer players.

Back to the topic at hand:

Marbury was a cancer in the Knicks locker room. The other players hated him and were glad he was gone. Isiah Thomas was a disaster during his reign in power, and Marbury was the perfect example how Thomas mismanaged the New York Knicks.

To be fair to Isiah, it's tough to manage when you have thousands of milligrams of Lunesta coursing through your veins.

Well, he initially tried to throw his kid under the bus on that one, so obviously his judgment was in tip-top shape.

Don't you think this is a bit hypocritical on your part, to criticize ANYONE's fans, considering you blow your top anytime anyone dares say anything about Philly?

I actually thought the moves to get Steve Francis and Jerome James were worse.

I also think (and this is at least partially from conversations with pro athletes) that the locker room chemistry stuff will largely wipe away if there's production to back it up. Once Marbury's time was cut, and he wasn't playing, that's when it became a real issue.

An unhappy player is never a good thing, neither are unhappy fans, especially as you all so "eloquently' point out NY fans. I hope he gets plenty of playing time & is happy up in Boston. Should have been let go by the Knick's sooner, in my opinion, he clearly didn't want to be a there anymore.

.

Not really. I think Marbury is a loser. I was making a point.

NY fans like moron that criticize Philly for booing McNabb and then boo
A-rod , Marbury, Pennington and Farve are the hypocrits.

Yeah, I agree they should have cut ties sooner. As far as chemistry . . . well, winning cures most of those ills. Plus, with the Knicks covering the tab, the Cs can always just cut him with no repercussions.

A-Rod, never have a problem with him. I didn't boo him, he was a product of his time. Farve, not a Jets fan so wouldn't care less. Same with Pennington. As for Marbury, he's an idiot. He was a cancer in the locker room and a totall waste of money.
