TRI DELTA MUSIC (NEED HELP ASAP)

Hi.....

I was wondering if anyone on here has heard of the Tri Delta song called More. I found the lyrics on this website www.sjtridelta.org/songs.htm. I was wondering if anyone knows the tune to this song or has sheet music or audio for it. PLEASE if anyone could help me that would be great.

A couple of things:

1. Your question may get more responses if posted in the Tri Delt forum here:

2. Posting your email address on a public forum is probably not the best idea.

The lyrics are obviously a rewritten-for-Tri-Delta version of “More,” which was the theme song for the movie “Mondo Cane." Among those who recorded it are Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and who knows who else.

You may be able to hear the music by going to one of the many, many lyrics and music sites on the Innanet. Lyrics to the "original" song (well, the English lyrics) seem to be all over the place, for instance:

Due caution: The ins and outs of laws and practices regarding use of copyrighted music and lyrics are not within my expertise. Act responsibly.

O how I love this one!

MY TRUSTY TRIDENT
(Tune: My Darling Clementine)
On a dark night in a parked car sat a sweet and lovely miss
With a fella, what a fella, wanted more than just a kiss
As he grabbed her 'round the middle his intentions were quite plain
As he touched her he enclutched her then he shouted out in pain.
He said "You stabbed me!" She said "You grabbed me! Don't you know you'll never win.
For every Tri Delt, every Tri Delt has a weapon for a pin."
My Trusty Trident, my trusty trident is much safer than a gun.
Safe and silent, my trusty Trident, with it no man's ever won.

There is an e-mail address for the webmaster of the San Jose Chapter that posted the lyrics. I would try them. Also, if that does not get you anywhere, call nationals. The lyrics on that web page come out of a DDD song book I believe. Nationals might be able to point you in the direction of the tune.

PS. SWTXBelle... I am so glad you posted the words to Trusty Trident. It is quite possibly my favorite Tri Delta song ever.

The tune for the DDD song "More" is the same tune for the Bobby Darin song "More". Try searching for Bobby Darin on iTunes to preview the song and hear the tune.
