Nervous and wanting to know

I recently was invited to attend rush for Delta Sigma Theta Inc for an alum chapter. I was called in for an interview 3 days after the deadline for submission. I think, not to toot my own horn, feel like I did a wonderful job at the interview. It has been two weeks and I havent heard anything. It only took them three days to contact me after I submitted my packett. Is that a sign saying I probably won't get accepted? Do they still contact you and let you know even if you did not get accepted? How long, after the interview process, does it take them to contact you with an answer? Does it usually take a long take to process the paper work?

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Hello,

I recently completed an Associate of Arts and Bachelor's Degree in December. I received the Assoicate's degree in December and I will receive my Bachelor's Degree on May 8 of this year. I was out and saw a graduate member from High School. She is a member of the AKA graduate chapter. She told me to let her know when I am done. I attended a college that did not have a Chapter however I am interested in the graduate chapter. I graduated with honors. I enjoy working with others and do a lot of community service. I pray that I am able to join after graduation.

Good question. I skipped right over that. I'm curious why she felt the need to share that information in the first place. No kinda question or anything.

I wondered about that as well. My best guess is that the four-year institution (which may be one and the same as the institution that grants the associate degree) really doesn't care if you get your associate's degree or not. They care about how many credits they will accept for transfer. But the girl in question may still have cared about completing her associate's degree. As someone who likes to finish things, I can understand that.

I have a Master's degree with associated honors, but my local community college (where I still take classes) just notified me that I'm eligible for their honorary society. And you know what? I will probably accept. If I stay around long enough, they'll probably grant me an A.A. as well (if only by accident, LOL!)

TrueElegance, congratulations on your A.A. and your imminent Bachelor's degree. It sounds like your friend is getting you headed in the right direction with regard to your dream. I have said a prayer for you. Good luck!
