Transferring to a New Chapter?
What is the best way to go about talking to the chapter at the new university? I am planning on transferring to SMU next year and considering that it is an extremely greek campus, I want to make sure I stay involved with the community. I was planning on flying down for a visit to meet some of the guys before I transfer, yall think think is a good idea?

First, correct your grammar.
"I am planning on transferring" I plan to transfer... "I was planning on flying" I plan to fly... "before I transfer, yall think think is a good idea?" ...before I transfer. Do you think it is a good idea? Second, call the chapter president before you buy your plane ticket. He will provide you with the appropriate information to affiliate. |

(Now, if you'd nitpicked about spelling it "yall" instead of "y'all." :p) |

Also, correct grammar down here would be:
Fixing to transfer (or more colloquially fixin' to) ;) Fixing to fly and definitely ok with the y'all think it's a good idea? But, to the question, I would also call the president, give him a heads up that you are fixing to transfer, and let him know you'd like to visit. He may tell you a good weekend to come. I don't know which fraternity you are transferring into, but most at SMU are pretty open to transfers (only a couple that I know of that are persnickety about it). |
