Need help starting my own Sorority!!!

Hello all

I am trying to find info on starting own Sorority...I already have colors, letters, mascot, flower, the jewels, and what my org will stand for and represent...I am looking to have it community based, going to community based colleges where no GLO's are present...I live in Chicago, so I know that this is possible, I just dont know where to begin to get recognized, incorporated, etc...

if you all can provide any assiatance, please let me know..

Peace...

You would probably have to def. start with contacing the NPC (national panhellenic conference) and send in specific paperwork and what not, but if I were you I would start there.

Let's not assume that it's NPC she's interested in. She's starting her own organization and may or may not want to be affiliated with an existing group.

She said she wanted her group to be community based. Collegiate chapters of NPC sororities are at 4-year institutions only.

If you go to Lewis College, then I am pretty sure than they are not open to greek life on campus. However, if you already have ideas for a sorority that you want to create, go to your student life office and ask if this is the kind of thing you can get recognized by the college. Its hard to give advice without knowing completely what your goal is for the organization- but I can tell you Lewis hasn't been receptive to greek life in the past.

*edit* hilarious video hahah
